ARUNACHAL PRADESH (TAWANG SPECIAL) 07 DAYS/06 NIGHTS

Day 01:  Fly Delhi/Gauhati. Meet and greet in Gauhati Airport and drive to Tezpur 180 km. O/N in Hotel Luit.
Day 02 : Drive to Dirang 5000 ft. 200 km. En-route stop at Bhalukpong, Assam Arunachal Border for entry formalities. Visit Orchidarium at Tipi,  Nag  Mandir at Dedza and Dirang Dzong (Former Tibetan Jail) and traditional

Day 03 : Drive to Tawang (10000 ft.) 145 km.  Morning visit Li-ung Gompa and kalchakra Gompa. En-route cross Paradise lake at Sela Pass (13700 ft.). O/N in Tourist Lodge.

Day 04 : Tawang sight seeing including Tawang Monastary, Emporium, Birth Place of His Holiness The V1 Dalai Lama Urgeling Gompa and local market.

Day 05 : Drive to Bomdila (185 km). En-route visit Jang Water Fall and Indo China War Memorial at Jaswantgarh. O/N in Hotel Siphiyang. Evening at leisure.

Day 06 : Drive to Phulaguri 200 km. En-route visit Shertukpen tribal  village at Rupa. O/N in G L Resort

Day 08 : Drive to Oriamghat/Sonarighat and river crossing of Brahmaputra by ferry. Arrive at Dibrugarh and O/N in Hotel Natraj.

Day 09 : Drive to Mon via Sonari 110 km 5 hrs. Mon is the home for famous Konyak Tribes. O/N in Circuit House.
Day 10 : Full day sight seeing in and around Mon. Visit Shankyu Village where one can see wooden monuments and stone memorials of Anghs (herediatary chief) and Longwa Village which is the biggest village in the district.
Longwa village lies on International Border of India and Mynmar(Burma).

Day 11 : Drive to Mokokchung via Simalguri 115 km 5 hrs. It is the home of Ao tribe. Visit local market and Emporium if time permits. O/N in Tourist Lodge.

Day 12 : Drive to Kohima the capital city of Nagaland 160 km 7 hrs. O/N in Hotel Japfu.

DAY 13 : After breakfast drive and ferry ride to Majuli Island via Luit Khabolughat and Norh Lakhimpur (75 km). Majuli is the biggest river island in the world located in the middle of river Brahmaputra. Afternoon interface with the Vaishnava Satras founded by Sankardeva, the father of Assamese culture. Visit temples where meditation, yoga, songs and dances are organized quite often. Also visit traditional handicrafts and pottery making

DAY 14 : After breakfast cross river Brahmaputra by ferry ride and drive to Dibrugarh via Nimatighat and Jorhat (180 km). Evening visit Tea gardens and tea tribe. O/N in Hotel Natraj.
